Why do we as humans always look after our interest even it is clear that in balance the other person is more deserving, and when able, return the favour. It starts out as a symtom of which then proceeds as an illness throughout ones life. This in my understanding is Self-centeredness and perhaps even greed. Please do not misconstrue this as one of the primal driving movers of human evolution 'Selfishness'. Selfishness makes you think about every aspect of your actions and behaviours, because you want to be better than others, I repeat better than others in every possible aspect. Self centered conciet does not imply you want to be better it merely implies that you are interested petty issues and petty money makes you feel better. Does having money and not being to understand about even ones self makes you a richer person. Most self centred people wrap themselves in the new age piety and sanctimony "I dont care". Funny enough most people use it as a cliche they dont know the meaning of not caring.
